On the 3rd of February Cathy was awarded the Colchester Sports Personality of the Year Award by the Colchester Sports Council. At the same time Stuart received a commendation for the Coach of the Year award.

They got to meet the Mayor of Colchester and the Lady Mayoress at the Town Hall and partake of nibbles and speeches. Very nice.

Cathy won the award because during the last year she has won the Anglian Powerlifting Championship, the East Midlands Powerlifting Championship, The British Masters Powerlifting Championship, The British Bench Press Championship, The European Masters Powerlifting Championship and to cap it all off the World Masters Powerlifting Championship. During the year she also set two British Squat records and turned her hand to Olympic Weightlifting to win the East Midlands Weightlifting Championship as well.  

Stuart won the coaching award because he made her do it !
