aboutThe Great East Skinny Dip is part of the Great British Skinny Dip. Thousands of people across the country will be taking part to raise money for good causes and to experience the exhileration of being naked.
Why Skinny Dip?
From mental health and body positivity to raising your heart rate and just feeling the rush of being alive, there are many, many health benefits to being naked. But, if you are looking for another reason to skinny dip, why not do it for a great cause? Our chosen charity is the mental heath charity MIND (charity reg no 1064309)

  history
The Great British Skinny Dip started in 2016 and has expanded from one event to dozens being organised around the country.
The Great East Skinny Dip had six dippers in 2019 and expanded to forty when it moved to Clacton-on-Sea for 2021. By 2023 this had reached 100.

The SwimBeing in a non-judgemental diverse group helps you become familiar with and accepting of all kinds of body types. Whatever you look like, you are normal, as is everyone else.
You can be as bare as you dare. If you would feel more comfortable wearing a swimsuit then you are welcome to. There will be time to strip off and store your clothes before the off and plenty of space to spread out or stay within your friends or family group when on the beach.
